This movie is considered a classic. Mohanlal played the role of Dasan, a struggling young man trying to make it big. The film mixed comedy with social commentary and was loved by both critics and the audience. His partnership with actor Sreenivasan in this film became legendary.

Though released in the next year, this film was made in 1985 and is very important in Mohanlal’s career. He played a gangster named Vincent Gomas. His stylish performance and powerful dialogues made him a mass hero.
