“It was almost a drop” Desingh Periyasamy About STR 50

Kollywood actor Silambarasan is on a roll. After the success of Pathu Thala, he has been continuously busy with movie shoots. He has just finished filming for Maniratnam’s Thug Life and will soon begin working on his next project.

Additionally, the STR 50 movie, which was previously called off, is now back in action. After the blockbuster hit Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithal, debutant director Desingh Periasamy was set to direct Simbu under Kamal Haasan’s Raj Kamal Banner.

However, the project stalled, and after a two-year wait, STR fans thought the movie would be dropped. But Desingh Periyasamy has assured that the project will continue as STR 50.

According to Desingh Periyasamy, music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja played a crucial role in reviving the project. Recently, Desingh Periyasamy attended the launch of STR 49 and hinted at the revival of STR 50.

He revealed, “I narrated the story of STR 50 to Yuvan, and he immediately said it was his movie. He even spoke with Simbu about it. We thought the movie was a lost cause, but thanks to Yuvan, STR 50 is back on track.”
