Ilayaraja, a legendary figure in the music world, needs no introduction. With a career spanning over five decades, the maestro recently acknowledged that his competitor is now artificial intelligence (AI). Though a man of few words, Ilayaraja’s music speaks volumes. Despite facing controversies, he remains the undisputed king of music.
Recently, young and acclaimed director Arun Matheshwar announced a biopic on Ilayaraja’s life, with multitalented actor Dhanush set to portray the legendary musician. Although the project was officially announced last year and shooting was reportedly underway, there have been no updates on the film’s progress in recent months.
According to unofficial sources close to the project, the movie, produced by Conekket Media and co-produced by AGS Entertainment, is moving forward. Pre-production work is expected to commence soon. However, with Dhanush currently busy with acting and directing commitments, his involvement in the project will begin once his prior obligations are fulfilled.
